Why Write a Real Estate Blog?

When I first got started in commercial real estate, I searched all over the web for detailed information concerning commercial real estate development and investment. I couldn't find this type of actual hands-on information. Fortunately, I had a number of great people help me out before I invested my hard earned cash. There is an information gap out there and I am filling it for a number of reasons:
  • I am documenting my investment experiences before I forget all the small, but important details. What better way than to be "forced" to write content a couple of times a week. When I am gone and my kids are older, maybe they will be interested in reading about my exploits.
  • Down the road, I may recoup some of my investment in developing software models by spreading the cost and offering them for sale at a reasonable price.
  • I am returning the favor by educating others and passing on some of my own lessons learned in commercial real estate investment.
